چکیده

A growing number of autoimmune diseases, allergies, and atopic conditions in recent years are calling for the development innovative therapies, such as those using stem cells with immunoregulatory activity. Because few often conflicting results scientific literature, it is still uncertain whether mesenchymal (MSC) could be a useful therapeutic strategy targeting B lymphocytes helpful treating allergy patients or variety viral infections. In connection aforementioned, our team investigated influence umbilical cord MSC-secreted factors on healthy donors' B-cell CD86 expression CCL5 secretion by peripheral blood mononuclear (PBMC) vitro. When PBMC were cultivated conditioned medium derived from MSC, density membrane statistically decreased, but percentage expressing this co-stimulatory molecule was slightly significantly increased. We also found increased chemokine under MSC secretome.

Platelet-derived Microparticles increase the Expression of hTERT Gene in Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells have been widely considered in clinical researches because of their self-renewality and differentiation into various tissues. Nevertheless, their limited in vitro life span, which occurs only after several divisions, makes some changes in these cells, which affects all of their characteristics and remarkably reduces their application. In this study, the effect...

The Effects of Secretion Factors from Umbilical Cord Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells on Osteogenic Differentiation of Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Factors synthesized by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) contain various growth factors, cytokines, exosomes and microRNAs, which may affect the differentiation abilities of MSCs. In the present study, we investigated the effects of secretion factors of human umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) on osteogenesis of human bone marrow derived MSCs (hBMSCs). The results showed that 2...

Mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord tissue as potential therapeutics for cardiomyodegenerative diseases – a review

Heart failure is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. End stage disease often requires heart transplantation, which is hampered by donor organ shortage. Tissue engineering represents a promising alternative approach for cardiac repair. For the generation of artificial heart muscle tissue several cell types, scaffold materials and bioreactor designs are under investigation. In this revi...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells from Human Umbilical Cord Express Preferentially Secreted Factors Related to Neuroprotection, Neurogenesis, and Angiogenesis

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are promising tools for the treatment of diseases such as infarcted myocardia and strokes because of their ability to promote endogenous angiogenesis and neurogenesis via a variety of secreted factors. MSCs found in the Wharton's jelly of the human umbilical cord are easily obtained and are capable of transplantation without rejection. We isolated MSCs from Wharton...

Over expression of Nrf2 in Umbilical Cord-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Up regulates Cytoprotective Genes, TXNRD1 and GCLC

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are ideal cells for cell and gene therapy. However, the low survival of MSCs after transplantation has limited their applications. We aimed to evaluate the expression of cytoprotective genes including NQO1, TXNRD1, HO-1, GCLC following the over expression of Nrf2 in umbilical cord-derived MSCs (UC-MSCs). Methods: 3-5 passages of UC-MSCs were cultured. ...
